Canon EF S 55 250mm f 4 0 5 6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras

Bring your photographic subjects closer with this Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Image Stabilizer Telephoto Zoom Lens. It is designed with Canon’s Optical Image Stabilizer technology and is compact and light. This high zoom ratio lens is equivalent to a focal length of 88-400mm in the 35mm format (when used on Canon EOS cameras compatible with EF-S lenses). The image stabilizer effect is equivalent to a shutter speed about 4 stops faster than the same size lens without Image Stabilizer. In other words, if the slowest shutter speed you could formerly hold a 250mm lens steadily was 1/250th of a second, with Canon’s 4-stop stabilization correction, you could hand-hold at shutter speeds as slow as 1/15th of a second. It also uses a UD-glass lens element to correct chromatic aberration for excellent image quality throughout the zoom range. Filter Size – 58mm Max. Diameter – x Length 2.8 in. x 4.3 in./70 x 108mm (maximum lens length) Weight – 13.8 oz./390g Canon 1 year limited warranty

5 Stars Another good addition to my Canon lens collection.
I have used Canon products exclusively since my first purchase in 1960, with countless Canon cameras since my first Canon FT SLR. I did not think that a zoom lens in this price range could be as good as this 55-250 mm is proving to be. I would certainly recommend this lens to any Canon user who wishes to try this zoom range and is budget minded. After doing much research concerning lens tests, etc, before my purchase, I must say that it is exceeding my expectations already.
2 Stars unlucky user experience
I bought this lense because I’ve already got the 18-55mm lense when I bought my CANON 450D. When I just got this new lens, I was very excited, but after I put it on, and did some test shots, I was confused. whenever I pressed down the shutter, from the view finder, I first saw a little shake of the lens, then heard the click sound. Then, I tried it a couple of more times, the same thing happened. Then, I took it off and re-installed it again. I thought maybe something didn’t hook up correctly. Unfortunately, still had that little shake when I pressed the shutter. At last, I had to return it to seller. Maybe I’m the only unlucky person? But now, I’m looking for some other lens.
4 Stars Great lens period – especially for the money
I have been using the 55-250 for about 90 days. I didn’t purchase it from Amazon although I wish I had. I could have saved 50 bucks. At the time I got the lens, I didn’t fully understand the importance of “fast lenses” this lens does not qualify as a “fast lens” however, for the money…I consider this my best buy. I have the 18-55, 50mm 1.8, and the 100mm macro….all Canon. The 100mm macro is my favorite, but the 55-250 is right behind it and much more versatile. The range and the IS “image stabilization” are the main good points of the lens. I love the fact you can go form 55-250 as the name of the lens suggests. If I had more money, I would buy a 2.8 lens…something like a 70-200 2.8 IS. However, for a quarter the price, this lens has much to offer. You will need to count on using it outside or in good light. When fully zoomed in to 250mm it’s a little sketchy, but I love the lens and would buy it again today. Don’t even think about getting a non IS lens that has more range but no IS! It’s well worth it. If this lens was a 4.0 steady throughout the range, it would be a great lens. As it is…..it’s nearly great. You just have to watch the lighting. Highly recommended especially for beginners or people on a budget. You will love it!
4 Stars Worked as expected
This lens worked as I expected it too. It is a good product for the money. It does exactly as it is supposed to.
4 Stars quick delivery, hans’t tried out yet
Quick delivery, still havn’t received the camera that was in the same order, therefore hasn’t had a chance to try it out.

Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash for Canon Digital SLR Cameras

Bringing a new level of versatility and capability to flash photography, the Speedlite 430EX II features a powerful flash (guide number of 141 ft./43m at ISO 100) with a fast recycling time in a compact, durable body. A one-touch quick-lock mechanism makes it easy to attach or detach the 430EX II from the camera and a metal foot has been added for strength and durability. Flash controls can now be set through the camera’s LCD screen on compatible EOS Digital SLR cameras. The Speedlite 430EX II is also quieter, recycle time is 20 percent faster (as compared to the 430EX) and since it is compatible with Canon’s wireless E-TTL, it can be used as an affordable “slave unit.”

5 Stars It’s canon, enough said
A photographer friend told me to purchase a flash that was of the same make of my camera, and to spend as much money on it as I could afford. Well, I probably could stretch and afford the model above this, but this is a great flash. For inside shots, outside low light shots, and even for putting that extra bit of umpf into your shot on a sunny day. If all you have used is the pop up flash on your camera, you will be amazed. One of my best purchases in my camera accessories so far.
5 Stars Wow Wow Wow !!!
This is the first Speedlite I ever used, and I’m really impressed! The quality, features, and ease of use are all top notch, and there’s no hi pitched whine noise between flashes either. I considered several other off brands (Sigma, Nisan) but in the end I really wanted a Canon flash to go with my 500D. I’m very satisfied.
The ONLY criticism I can make is that the flash is pretty heavy, but I suppose that comes with packing everything into such a small package.
5 Stars Great product
Very nice improvement compared to the now archaic pop up flash – it renders the flash on my XS pretty much useless, I don’t need that any more after I purchased this item. I am by no means close to being a pro, but with this Speedlite, my photos have more life and don’t look overexposed like they did earlier with the original XS flash. Very pleased with this purchase.
1 Star Poor Customer Service
I ordered the 430EX II, but instead received the 430EX. After 2 emails I have received no reply. Poor customer service, ripped me off. I wish I could rate it 0 stars. The 430 EX works fine and all, but I thought I was getting the 430EX II.
5 Stars AF ASSIST!!!
Best $248 I have spent on my DSLR.
The AF Assist beam alone is worth it.
I have the 270EX and it is a little toy compared to this.
5/5
Mike.

Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG for Canon EOS SLR Cameras Black with Green Accent

BAG, DELUXE BACK PACK 200EG, CANON
User Ratings and Reviews
3 Stars Great at first site- not good with heavy telephoto lenses
When I first received the bag, I was very happy with it. I was able to customize the inside padding to fit exactly what I needed to put in there.
However, after loading all of my equipment (Canon 40D with battery grip, 70-200 f/2.8L IS, speedlite 580ex ii, 15mm fisheye, 24-70 f/2.8L) the sturdiness of the bag decreased immensely.
When I put it on my back the back of the bag sagged, causing the equipment to hit each other. the stitching in the zipper and skirt ripped after only a few uses.
****Would not recommend if using heavy lenses****
5 Stars Perfect for the price
I went shopping for a backpack style bag as I started to run out of room from a smaller camera bag I owned. I was looking for something not overpriced and nice looking. I first saw the bag at Best Buy for over $70 but when I searched online I was able to purchase brand new for $40 including shipping! The bag is perfect for me as it holds plenty of the accesories that I own. I recommend this bag for anyone looking to get started.
5 Stars Canon deluxe photo backpack 200eg
Organized well, lightweight and plenty of storage space. Must be layed flat to access your equipment or you will end up dumping it out. Padded very well and holds everything I need.
4 Stars Great bag for the price
Great bag for the prices. It’s not a high end bag, but it is made well an is exactly what I was looking for.
5 Stars Awesome
This product is well worth the money and there is more room than I need for both of my cameras and the accessories. The fact that you can adjust all the compartments with velcro is a very nice asset. I’d definately suggest it as I am very happy with it and the speed at which I received it.

Maximal Power DB CAN NB 6L Replacement Battery for Canon Digital Cameras Camcorders

Battery Type: Li-ion
Capacity: 1000 mAh
Integrated microchip prevents overcharging & lengthens battery life
No Memory Effect
One Year Warranty
User Ratings and Reviews
5 Stars DOES work in my SD1200IS… like a charm!
I was not going to write a product review for this, but after stumbling upon the negative reviews I figured I might as well add something. I purchased the “Maximal Power DB CAN NB-6L Replacement Battery for Canon Digital Cameras/Camcorders” in July of 2009 for my Canon SD1200IS. I have not experienced any problem whatsoever with this battery. My battery looks exactly like the amazon (not the user) picture shown: white wrapper, gray battery. It slides in and out of the camera like the original battery. The wrapper is not as tightly wrapped and glued around the battery as I would like, though it is no worse than the original Canon one in that respect. Or in any respect, for that matter: I cannot tell any difference between batteries. I seem to get the same amount of pictures/time out of a charge. Admittedly, I didn’t run any specific tests to prove this, so all I can say is that, if there are any performance differences, they are unnoticeable, even to a critical user like me. The camera itself doesn’t seem to ‘care’ it’s a non-Canon battery at all. Great back up, especially for the price!
5 Stars Works fine
The battery seems to be an excellent backup for the Canon product. It fits fine in the camera (the Canon 1200) and the charger; other reviews said they had difficulty with the non-Canon product being the wrong size, but I didn’t have that problem. Good price and it came fast. (I’ve seen replacement batteries in stores for $29!)
5 Stars the right item delivered on time
So far it works well together with my Canon IS1300 camera, a good deal for the backup battery.
5 Stars Solid
I was impressed by the price when I made the purchase, and the recharge rate after I’d made the purchase. If only my Canon D10 underwater camera had worked as well as this battery
4 Stars A bit too large at first, but easily fixed
Like many other reviewers stated, this battery seemed a bit too large to fit into the battery compartments of both my Canon S90 and D10. I would really have to wiggle it quite a bit to fit completely in, and then had a hell of a time getting the battery out because it fit so snugly. I figured out that the plastic label that wraps around the battery wasn’t quite stuck on completely, so I really pushed down on the label going all the way around to get it to stick flat on the actual battery. No problems since then- slides in and out of both camera compartments just like the original Canon battery that came with the cameras. Great value for the price as a spare back-up.
