Meet the new Nikon D7000, a camera ready to go wherever your photography or cinematography takes you. Experience stunning images with sharp resolution and smooth tonal gradation, thanks to the 16 megapixel DX-format CMOS image sensor and a powerful EXPEED 2 image processing engine. Take advantage of its wide ISO range of 100 to 6400 (expandable to 25,600) and its incredibly low levels of noise. Expect your images tack-sharp and accurately exposed, thanks to the camera’s 39-point AF and Scene Recognition System using a 2,016-pixel RGB matrix metering sensor. And with an approx. 0.052-second release time lag and approx. 6 frames-per-second shooting, you won’t miss a moment.
You’ll see exactly what you’re capturing with the approx. 100% frame coverage viewfinder, and for those who want to shoot both stills and movies, the D7000′s D-Movie capabilities now include Full HD 1080p capture with full-time autofocus and manual exposure. All of this advanced imaging technology is kept safe beneath the magnesium alloy covering the top and rear chassis of a compact body, whose sealing has been severely tested against moisture and dust. The D7000 is ready to shoot indoors and out, and at 150,000 cycles tested, the camera’s durable shutter unit helps you keep shooting. Combine all this with the unmatched NIKKOR lens lineup and Creative Lighting System and you have everything you need to explore your imagination to its fullest. Where can creative freedom like this take you? Find out, with the D7000.

User Ratings and Reviews
5 Stars Panasonic GH1 For Video
I’m using this card in the Panasonic GH1 for HD video and it works great. No problems so far, and a great buy.
5 Stars Fantastic Card for a Great Price
I recently decided to dip my feet into digital photography, after scoring an awesome deal on a Nikon D40 kit. I needed a decently sized SD card, and after shopping around local big box retailers and on the web I settled on this one. The transfer speeds are quick, both while taking pictures and when in use with my camcorder. And the price is pretty awesome, by far the least expensive 16gb card I’ve found. But don’t be fooled by the price, its on par with other SD card from different manufacturers.
1 Star Great SDHC Card!! Until it dies.
I’m an amateur photographer and I’ve recently started to get into cinematography and photography on my T2i. I bought this card as a secondary card to my 8gb class 10 SanDisk card. I read reviews and recommendations that said this 16gb Transcend card was a great deal for price and bought it about a month ago. It worked great and I used it on numerous photo-shoots and long periods of shooting video. While on a paid photo and video shoot my camera stopped shooting in the middle of an interview and the card became unreadable. The card died on me and I lost all of the data on it. It seems that this card is not up to the standards that I would get with a more expensive card from SanDisk. I am now going to put the money into better performing cards rather than the cheap and easy ones after what happened.
3 Stars not bad, works pretty good
I bought this card that we would have more capacity for taking digital pictures while on vacation. You get virtually the full amoung as available storage; as hoped. The upload and download speeds are okay but the the fastest that I have seen. I dont know it it is a hardware or software issue that keeps it from going faster but still an okay card for the money.
1 Star Went bad after 1 year
Had this card for about a year, and it worked well until 2 days ago. I had it in my Nikon D5000 and got the error, “Unable to Format Card. Card May Be Defective.” Luckily I found a utility online to recover the pictures I had and I was able to re-format the card. It worked for another day and now I’m getting the error again.
I tried cleaning the contacts w/ a cotton swab, and even tried inserting the card while locked & unlocked – didn’t make a difference. Hopefully, the SanDisk 16GB Extreme – SDHC Class 10 High Performance memory card (SDSDX3-016G-P31, Retail Packaging) – NEW 30MB/s version I just bought will last longer.
