Bought as a spare for a recent trip. Worked wonderfully. Never got either main or spare down to the “low battery” warning. Took plenty of movies and flash pictures, both this and the OEM battery seemed about equal. Very unscientific test, but if you are planning a trip, this will compliment your OEM battery wonderfully.

Dollar for dollar, this battery is just as good as any, if not better! It won’t outperform a Canon battery, but it works well and will definitely get the job done. Save money and buy this battery instead of buying Canon batteries.

5 Stars Great Battery Life!
After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit concerned about how these batteries may stack up next to the canon battery that came with my rebel T1i. I ultimately purchased two of them, because I was expecting them to die relatively quickly and need to be changed more often than the canon battery. It has actually been the exact opposite so far. My canon battery lasts noticeably LESS long than either of the Opteka batteries. Maybe I received two particularly good copies, but for the price I have been more than pleased with these batteries.

5 Stars Great company for batteries and grips
I am very pleased with all products from Opteka. I use the battery grip on my Canon T1i and have had no problems with the batteries. I have shot 300 pictures plus without even loosing one bar. I would recommend both the batteries and the grip to any one.

I like being able to see how much time I have left to shoot pictures. I was always being caught with a low battery with the one that came with the camera and would miss some good shots. Now, no more missed shots. Love it!

5 Stars Sony Digital Camera Battery
This battery seems to have good life and will even take many pictures in the cold if it is completely charged before use. So far, it has lasted over a year for me. It is the same battery I use in my cell phone. Thus I have extra batteries for each depending upon the need. I have a cord charger for the phone and I have a small plug in charger for the camera (came with the camera). This enables me to charge both at the same time or have one charging in the car on trips.

I order this battery as a backup for my camera , but this vendor sent me the wrong battery, and after contacted him, he said they would refund my money, so far, i have received nothing, and this is the last time I will order anything from Amazon or its vendors. Also the price on the Sony camera I bought , it was too expensive, I wish I could return all these order, but I believe I got screwed.

5 Stars Better than the original!
My Sony DSC-H50 came with the NP-BG1 which shows a graphic representation of time left, but this upgrade to the NP-FG1 shows the estimated minutes left, even if you just switch the display mode from dim to bright you get to see what the difference is in time left. VERY USEFUL! I have never had good success with knockoff items so I got my battery (Authentic Sony) Used/Like-New from Niagaras Electronics and it came and performs as promised. I get a little over 2.5 hours of live shooting time with my display set to dim which is just fine, but also why I got a couple extra spares just in case of the unforseen long photo-walk or a forgot-to-charge issue.
